Nutrition

In 2012, we were certified by “Leichter leben,” a project of the Canton of Zurich with the same label, as a day care center with excellent nutrition and promotion of physical activity.

We have morning snacks, lunch, and afternoon snacks with the children. We place importance on varied, balanced, and child-friendly meals. Our cook prepares lunch fresh every day. We do not force any child to eat something they dislike – a peaceful, relaxed atmosphere is more important than unnecessary pressure. However, we encourage the children to try new things.

We accommodate special dietary needs, such as vegetarian meals. We largely avoid sugary foods, convenience products, and excessively fatty foods. Water and unsweetened tea are available to the children throughout the day.

If a child has a birthday, a celebration is held with the group, and parents are welcome to bring a cake.

Baby food

Our cook freshly prepares vegetable and fruit purees for the little ones. We also offer baby-friendly snacks. Parents provide additional food (such as milk powder, special purees) themselves, as they prefer different products.
